What is Photoaging? - Understanding Sun-Induced Skin Aging

When we think of aging skin, we often picture fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation changes that come with time. But did you know that up to 90% of visible skin aging is actually caused by sun exposure — not just age?

What Is Photoaging?

Photoaging refers to the premature aging of the skin due to repeated exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or artificial sources like tanning beds. Unlike natural aging, which is determined by genetics and time, photoaging is preventable and treatable.
